Nana bought Evie a giant blanket sleeper with princesses on it. (I say "giant" because, although Evie is pretty small, a blanket sleeper on a 5-year-old looks much different than on a little brother.) She went to the bathroom yesterday morning, and when she came out she said, "When I need to go to the bathroom with these pajamas on, apparently I need to take them off. I have to get my bottom on the toilet!" John and I use that word too much. Apparently.
Evie wants to do "water experiments" later this afternoon. You know, play in water with bowls, spoons, cups, and make a huge mess. We'll see. Anyway, she was listing everything she needs to do her experiments. She asked if she could use one of my big mixing bowls. "The one I threw up in when I was sick. You remember? It looked like salsa? That one." How could I forget?
For her birthday, Evie got an explorer set from John's parents. The camera it came with is real, but it's an old-fashioned one that takes film. Evie was playing with it this morning.
"Mama, to make this work, we need to put that stuff in here... What's it called?"
"Film?"
"Yeah, foam."
