So, our best friends moved to Colorado last month. While we're super excited for them, we're also missing them a bunch down here in Texas. It didn't take long for us to make the drive up to visit them. We went up the weekend before Thanksgiving. And, boy, did we have a great time!

Pit stop in west Kansas. Had to check out this massive Van Gogh replica! Weird, huh?

(And that's about all there was to report about the *ahem* lovely drive across west Kansas...)
We got to the Denver area a little later than expected. We were thrilled to be there!

Arriving to these faces made the drive more than worth it!!!

Up and at 'em the next morning to explore Colorado!

We parents know how to have just as much fun as the munchkins.

Capitol building

Downtown Denver

Ice cream and a park with temperatures in the '40s. Good times!

Cute family

Red Rock Amphitheater. It was COLD!

Lookout Mountain

Since there was no snow in the forecast while we were there, David promised Evie he would find her some snow up in the mountains. Here we are!

Pretty, huh?

Awwwww

Beautiful view to one side, parking lot to the other.

Casa Bonita!!!!

Mmmmm, sopapillas!

Caleb got a chance to whack a pinata!

Playing some video games,

skee ball,

and more video games helped us burn off that Mexican dinner.

Our last day there, we checked out their neighborhood park.

Good times with good people. All too soon it was time to head out.

Bye, bye, Colorado! Until next time!

My heart is achin'....I'm so glad you guys had fun with your friends. I was pregnant with Dave when we saw Harry Connick Jr. at Red Rocks! Awesome place for a concert and he was unbelievable! As much as I love Casa Bonita in Tulsa, well...
