We started off with Kelsey's college graduation from OSU. She's the last of us (my parents and sisters) to graduate from there. John also graduated from OSU, so I think we'll have to try and get our kids to go there, too. Kinda neat.
For the ceremony, Kelsey had our entire family (Mom, Dad, Megan, Nolan, me, John, Evie, Maggie, Oliver, and Mema) and her boyfriend's (Jeremy) family. Since everyone from both families were together, Jeremy decided to pop the question in front of the whole group. It was pretty neat. And although both sets of parents knew about it ahead of time, apparently Kelsey was left in the dark. She was surprised.
And pretty happy.
I didn't load pics of all the gift opening. It always looks the same from year to year. But I wanted to show off the girls' Christmas dresses that Nana made. Not a good view, but it's all we've got.
After a few days with the Deans, we moved over to John's parents' house to spend a few days with Mimi, Papa, and Aunt Lisa.
We all went to a Cowgirl basketball game one evening. The girls wore cheerleader dresses and cheered on the Cowgirls to a win! They even watched the game a little since they've been playing on a basketball team themselves for a few weeks.
Pistol Pete!
The cameraman put them up on the jumbotron several times.
We ended the trip by visiting John's grandma in the nursing home before we headed back south of the Red River.
And for the first time we got to spend Christmas Eve night at our own house. Santa got to come that night (he usually comes before we travel to OK), we went to church on Christmas morning to worship with our church family, and we spent the rest of the day in our pj's. Not a shabby few days of Christmas celebrations!
