I haven't posted in awhile because, amazingly (and I don't know how this is even possible), it's been pretty boring around here. These last two weeks have been really great. We are officially past the hardest infant stage, and I am doing my best to enjoy it from here on out. Actually, I have to admit to something. The thought actually crossed my mind the other night that Oliver can't possibly be my last baby. I don't even know how to react to that thought, and it really scares me! Having three kids in four years is enough to make the most sane person crazy. And I wasn't the most sane person to begin with. Maybe that's it...it's the craziness talking about another baby in the house when my current baby is only 7 weeks old. Sheesh.
Oliver started sleeping through the night last week. There have been three or four nights where he got up once in the middle of the night, but the rest of the nights were 7-8 hour stretches! Go, baby boy! And he just finished a really great smile session with me. Man, is he adorable!!! Life is so good.
The girls were cracking me up last night. We were playing restaurant with their play food. Evie brought me a little piece of paper, my menu (or "man-u" if you're Evie), and told me to order something. Then she told me that the restaurant was called Chicken Hot Spots. I thought that was a pretty good restaurant name. Then Evie informed us that "someone pooped!" "Maggie yelled "ME!" (Maggie pretty much yells everything. She's definitely John's child.) I told Maggie to come over so I could change her. She said "No, I not poopie. I just fine" and proceeded to order from her man-u. I don't know why I thought that was funny, but I did. Maybe you had to see it. I told you it's been boring around here!
No new decent pictures. I'll try to take some in the next few days. I also need to put together July and August picture albums.

Ha ha! I love the small little day-to--day stories! And I understand what you mean with thinking about the next baby... It's something about those 8 hour stretches of sleep and the big toothless grins that make you completely forget about all it took to get to that point!! I've found myself thinking the possibility of having a bigger family.. ha! Neil thinks I'm crazy!! :) Brooklynn is 12 weeks old now and let out her first big laugh yesterday while playing peek a boo! They are such amazing little critters!!
I'm so happy that everything is going so well!!! I can't wait to see you guys in Oct.. as long as all the starts and kiddo's are aligned properly!! :)
Yay for smiley Oliver! Tell Evie and Maggie we can't wait to eat off their man-u's!! Grandma said that Oliver has a dimple that's just to die for!
More chilluns?? Um, you might want to wait and see how much kid wrangling is involved after Oliver starts toddling around. LOL
Don't worry, Dad, I'm a realist who knows that three kids is awesome and about all I can handle! It's still sad to think that there won't be another little tiny baby around here. At least not mine. But that's the beauty of it, too. When someone else has the next baby, I can enjoy it while it's here and still get sleep at night!!
I didn't sign that as "Dad". What gave it away as being my reponse?
I dunno, mostly the "chilluns" and "kid wrangling" parts. Sounded like you. :)
daggone Okie accent, huh?
