Oliver is two months old today. I can't believe it. It's gone so fast. Thankfully, ha! Those first couple of months are always the hardest for me. Now I'm ready for it to slow down. I know it won't though. He had his two month check-up today. He weighs 13lbs 13oz and is 24 inches tall. That's 88th %-ile for weight and 80th %-ile for height. To put it into perspective for you, he's bigger than either of the girls were at FOUR months old. They were both just barely over 13lbs at four months. John hates when I call Oliver Bubba, but the boy is turning out to be a BUBBA! He got his first round of shots and got pretty ticked. The nurse even seemed surprised at his reaction. He's been pretty fussy since. Then he loaded his diaper nicely, so I think that was at least part of it. :) Oliver's also had a cold for the last couple of days, which doesn't help, either. Poor kiddo.
I have a funny Evie story. We all went to a church meeting on Sunday evening. One of the elders was talking into the microphone and his "P" sounds were pretty loud over the speakers. You know what I mean... Suddenly, Evie asks, "Mama, what's that pooping sound?" I about lost it! Thankfully, I don't think anyone realized what she said since she has a small voice. If Maggie has said it, EVERYONE would have heard it.
Here are some pictures. We tried to capture Oliver's dimples in this first one. We succeeded, but he's making kind of a goober-ish face. Call me a bad mom. It's cute, but what I mean is that it's not a true smile. I'm not really sure what it is, but it allowed us to get a picture of his adorable cheeks.

Here he is not-so-happy. I had to try to get his cute little flip-flops from Aunt Megan. Guess I took too long trying to take a photo.

What a cutie. Funny lip and all. :)

Daddy & Oliver

Finally got him to ride in his sling for a decent amount of time. I got to vacuum the floors and cook dinner with him in it! Thanks, Jennifer, for making it for us! (Don't look at what I'm wearing. I didn't get out of my pj's that day. A typical Monday for us.)

Evie wanted to carry her baby in the sling. What a Little Mama!

These last two pictures show how much Evie and Maggie love their brother. They weren't staged. I didn't ask them to love on him. This is just how they naturally are with the baby. Evie was even the one who went into his bed and got the blanket to cover him up. This has been one of the most wonderful things about having Oliver. I love that God has blessed us with these three, and I hope and pray that they will be close for the rest of their lives.
