I still can't get used to the county fair being in June. Back home, it's in the fall. The Texas state fair is in the fall. But for some reason, the county fair is in the summer. Actually, it's technically in the spring, since it's in early June.
But anyway, in June it is, so in June we go.
We always start with a photo in front of Fair Boss, the bull.

This year we splurged and bought unlimited ride bracelets for John and the kids. And, boy, did we get our money's worth.

Of course we checked out the animals.
A girl let the kids feed her calf. This was an awesome experience for all of us! "Little" Hope downed that bottle in no time and let us pet her for a bit before we moved on. Evie said this was her favorite part of the evening.

We always love to climb on the ATVs and tractors. And wish we had a few acres.

Then back to the rides to make good use of the bracelets and nearly puke up the fair tacos we ate.
I didn't even have to get on a ride to almost do that... All I had to do was stand to the side and watch them in those awful little tea cups. Queasy.

Have to admit, I got a little choked up reading this post :( Miss you guys and our annual fair outings. Cute pictures, and it's so fun that the kids are getting old enough to enjoy the rides! We are hoping to go to the fair here in a couple of weeks.
That last photo is awesome!
Wow what a bunch of good pictures of MY GREATS. Luv ya bunches. The girls feeding the calf reminds me when I was a little girl. That was part of our chores when the calves were that age.
