There's still illness around here. Maggie is fine. Just a little residual runny nose and cough. Oliver's cough turned into a nasty cough and fever on Wednesday. I took him in to the pediatrician, and he had an ear infection in his left ear. Start amoxicillin. Thursday he started a really runny nose, had green boogery eyes, and was very, very fussy. Took him in Friday and he had an ear infection in the other ear, he was wheezing, and likely a sinus infection. Start stronger antibiotics and the nebulizer. Now this kid is usually very happy. He has been horribly fussy for several days and until today he couldn't breathe through his nose for anything. To top it off, he's vomiting half of his feedings, I guess from all the drainage in his throat. It's stressful because it's hard for me to even get him to eat at all, then he's likely to puke it all up. All he wants to do is sleep. Poor baby.
Evie had an asthma attack on Thursday night, so we got her checked out, too. She had a cold with a yucky cough, so she's been on her nebulizer, too. Today she seems a lot better. Just a little stuffiness in her nose and a tiny cough. Hopefully she'll be a lot better in the next couple of days.
John has caught the cold, too. I've been so stressed out that he came home early on Friday and has promised to stay home tomorrow to help me care for all the kids, even though he feels kinda cruddy. He's such a great guy.
If you wouldn't mind, please say some prayers for us. It's been over a week since we were all healthy. Even though it's insane, I almost feel like there's no end in sight. I need sleep and a healthy family. Especially my little Oliver. He's been so miserable for way too long.
