Birthday Party

Evie LOVES having her birthday in December. One major drawback, however, is trying to fit in a party during one of the busiest times of the year. Fortunately, Evie is a very patient, sweet little thing, and she was more than willing to postpone a party until after the beginning of the year. So finally, after waiting more than a month.... We had a party last Sunday!!! Not just any party... a BEACH party!!! With beach balls, a shining sun, a pinata, hula girls, Beach Boys music, and a sand castle! Such a great way to celebrate Evie and remind us that summer does, in fact, exist.

Party favors! Can you tell what they're supposed to be??

Pin the sunglasses on the sun.

The sand castle cake. This was a big hit. Crushed up vanilla wafers look JUST like sand!

Somwhere in the middle of that pile of kids, Evie is opening her gifts. I'm sitting there, too, and it cracks me up that you can't see even a hint of us with all the kids pressed so close.

Told you the cake was a big hit. Demolished.

It looks like you all had such a fun time, and we are sooo sad we couldn't be there :( We miss you guys like crazy.

Caleb looked at the pictures and wanted me to tell you that "pretty much all of it was funny" and he wished he could have been there :)
