I figured I would catch everyone up with a May post, then I can start talking about stuff as it happens.
It seems like May got off to a slow start. (See, I can't really remember, so that's why this blog will be good!) We had a nice, quiet Mother's Day. Went to worship together, then had a picnic supper complete with peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, goldfish crackers, and chocolate chip cookies. Not too shabby if you ask me! It was way better than going to a restaurant, fighting the kids to sit still and eat, and dealing with the crowds. The next weekend, we went with a friend to a rodeo here in Greenville. It had been a long time since either John or I had been to one, and the girls had never been. They actually did really well and enjoyed almost all of the events. They liked watching the sheep during the "mutton busting" (kids riding sheep), and Evie REALLY let us know that she didn't want to give that a try! One of the kids was named Rooster, and I thought that would be a hilarious nickname for Oliver, especially if he ends up with the red hair. John was less than enthused.
In other big news, John turned 30 on the 19th! That's right, folks, he's officially on his way to getting old. I can say that since I still have more than a year to go to get to that milestone! We spent the evening with friends at a hibachi grill, then went for frozen custard and a walk around the harbor in Rockwall.
Finally, the four of us went to Stillwater at the end of the month for Kelsey's graduation. It's so hard to believe that my littlest sister is now an 18-year-old high school graduate. I think it's even harder to believe that I walked that stage 10 years ago! Yikes! We had a great visit. The girls and I stayed for a week while John came back home to work on our bathroom remodel and build a playground in the backyard. I must say, that thing is awesome!! I'll post pics of it later. Then it was back home for the rest of us and back to the old grind.
All three kids are doing great. Keeping me on my toes and off my tush. Maggie can literally outrun me, and she knows it. So now, anytime I need to change a diaper, or get her dressed, or pick her up, she takes off running looking back with an ornery grin. Stinker. I can't wait to be un-pregnant so I can actually run full speed without looking like a dork and injuring myself! Evie is still my bossy mini-mama. She says the funniest things. I'll have to make a post of some Evie-isms sometime. She and I have a disagreement about whether Oliver will have red or blonde hair. I think blonde, she insists he will have red. Can't wait to see for sure! Oliver is just Oliver. Active, especially at night. He's not quite karate kicking me anymore, but he lets me know he doesn't really like to be poked, squished, scratched, or otherwise irritated. Must be another redhead.
I'll post a link to the May snapfish folder when I get it finished. I'm waiting on a photo cd from a certain Opie. :)

What a month!! Ha, I know what my nine month prego waddle walk looks like and can't imagine the waddle run! We're almost there!! I can't wait to see the pics of the swing set and the bathroom! I can't believe you found a mouse in your shoe!! I was trying to figure out which would be more alarming, 1000 baby spiders or a mouse?!? The jury is still out!! Yuck! Welcome to the old man club John!! Ha!! I've been known to tease Neil a bit too but only because he's so young at heart!!
"..certain Opie", huh? I get the hint, Tara. I think about making the cd when I'm on the road between Stillwater and OKC. I'll get it to you, I promise. Just don't know when. hee hee.
by the way, it's a pain in the hiney to post a comment... sheesh
