The girls have been particularly cute lately. They've been in good moods and obedient, so things have been running fairly smoothly, thank God.
This morning John was sitting on the couch when Smokey (one of our cats) jumped up on his lap. John started talking to her and petting her. Maggie came up and said, very matter-of-factly, "She can't talk, Daddy. She can only say meow." I guess she thought John expected the cat to respond.
John was scrambling some eggs for breakfast this morning, and Evie asked if she could "decorate the table for breakfast". Translation: set the table for breakfast. For some reason I can't get the kid to say "set the table". Cracks me up.
We were all getting into the car to head to worship this morning. Maggie was taking her stuffed Simba toy with her, and Evie announced that she didn't need to take Bunny or Blanket with her today. (Bunny & Blankie are her lovies.) I told her "You probably don't need to take them because you leave them there all the time, don't you?" (She's certainly been known to do so.) She put on a pouty face and folded her arms dramatically. "I don't know... Maybe twice." I guess I offended her. :)

Maggie's just making sure Daddy knows kitties don't talk. LOL
Can't believe Evie didn't want her lovies.
