Oh, Yeah!

I forgot to report that Oliver rolled front to back on Saturday. Then he rolled mostly back to front. I say "mostly" because he was laying on his arm, but he was fully on his stomach. He hasn't done it since, but at least we know he can do it. :) He's also been jabbering a whole bunch lately. Not just "ooooh's" and "aaaaaaah's" but real syllables. "Na-na-na-na-na-na" all day long. Sometimes it sounds like "dada", and sometimes it sounds like "mama". So sweet. Now I just have to get him to recover his long-lost milestone: sleeping through the night. *sigh*

Your post reminded me of Sarah when she was little - before she could talk she would sing, it was so cute - just random syllables and she would raise her arms and just sing and sing! It definitely made all those car rides to and fro very enjoyable:-)!

Love,
Karen

Hi there,

When David was born, my sister-in-law gave me a baby's first year calender that I have kept on my dressing table ever since. Today's quote was "I love these little people; and it is not a slight thing, when they, who are so fresh from God, love us." Charles Dickens

I wish we lived closer so that I could snuggle your little critters:-).

Just remember, Tara. Once they start jabbering, they don't stop. LOL.

He'd sleep better at nite if you didn't keep poking him to make sure he's ok. hee hee.

Love ya,

Dad

I love the jabber, but Uncle Roy is so right, once they start, they don't stop. I'm very proud to say that Brooklynn's first syllables are Mamama! She's has several now. It's so neat to finally get a little taste of what their little voices will someday sound like!

Hi Katie and Roy,

I have to disagree - I am still trying to drag multiple syllables out of David (his superhero persona is monosyllabic boy) but of course Sarah more than makes up for it:-).

Oh, yeah, I know how it is. I live with two little chatterboxes and John. The house is NEVER quiet! In the car it is non-stop little girl voices from the back seat. I guess as they turn into teenagers they decide they only talk when it's absolutely necessary. At least to the 'rents.

LOL - I have not been able to convince Sarah that every thought that is in her head does not need to be expressed verbally! I cannot imagine having that times two:-). We went to our favorite restaurant yesterday and we haven't taken Sarah there since she was little and the first thing out of her mouth as we are going in the front door was "This place is a mess!"
