Miss Know-It-All

I asked Evie today about what she did at school. Her teacher, Mrs. Amy, sent home a September calendar with each day's plans written on it. Today had its stories, songs, and activities listed as well as "calendar". I was asking Evie about what she did during calendar time. She said, "We learn about the day and the date and about yesterday and tomorrow." I asked what today is, and she said Monday. Then I asked if she knew what the date was. She said, "Yeah. The date's the number, you know." Kind of like, "duh!" I had to giggle a little.
