Funny Girls

My parents and sisters are coming today to spend Thanksgiving with us. Here's a conversation Maggie and I had this morning...

Maggie: I want Nana.
Mama: She'll be here after lunch.
Maggie: I want lunch. I want a peanut better and jelly sandwich.

Smart thinking, little girl. If only it worked that way!


Later on I had another realization that there has been WAAAAAAAY too much tv going on here. I mean, I've had good reason, but I really have to cut it back again.

Mama (to Evie): We really need to get your hair cut.
Evie: There's this thing you can get where you can cut your hair at home. You don't have to go to the hair cutting store or anything. You can cut it and curl it.
Mama: Where did you learn about that?
Evie: I found it on tv. But you can only get it at Toys R Us.


Evie was going to the bathroom this morning. (Number 2, if you must know...) I was sitting in the bedroom waiting for her to get finished when she gave a big ol' sigh. "Sitting on the potty for really long is no fun."
