Unfortunately the pokes lost the Bedlam game last night. It was fun to watch at least. We didn't get completely trampled. I thought it was a bad sign when Oliver's diaper leaked poo on his OSU shirt. Oh, well. Maybe next year.

Yesterday evening we put up the Christmas tree and strung the lights. This morning the five of us put the ornaments on. The girls had a great time (even though Maggie has a cold), and Oliver was in a really happy mood. Evie enjoyed putting the star on top of the tree. She's getting to be such a big girl. She told me this afternoon that she had a dream from out of her pillow about Winnie the Pooh. I asked her, "Oh, so you think dreams come from your pillow?" She said, in a very thoughtful manner, "That must be where they come from. Inside your pillow." Makes sense to me. :)

I forgot a few things...

Maggie has been sleeping in her big girl bed since Wednesday night. John took her crib down that evening, and she's been doing a great job since. She doesn't even miss her crib. AND she's been going on the potty off and on for a couple of weeks. I wouldn't say she's potty trained, but she's getting there. She even pooped today! Now we just have to get her to be consistent. I can't believe that she's growing up so fast. *sniff*

Oliver is four months old today. That is unbelievable to me. I laid him on his play mat yesterday and walked away to do a few things. John came and asked if I had put Oliver on his side. I had put him on his back, but he was trying REALLY hard to roll over to his tummy. Because of the surgery, he hasn't had any tummy time in almost three weeks. I think once we start that up again he will start to figure out the rolling thing. My gosh, my kiddos are getting too big!!

I'm still fussing about the Bedlam game. Eleanor and Laura said it was a fun game to watch, but I can't say that yet. Guess it's cuz I have to be around too many Sooners who love to dig the Pokes when OU beats them. Mom is talking about putting up the tree this weekend. I want to put up the lights on the house... fun to see but not so fun to do. hee hee.

Evie is a philosopher.

Love yuns,

Dad

Yeah, it was really crappy that we lost. It does help not to be surrounded by people who rub it in. If you put lights up on your house, Evie would be so excited at Christmas. Probably Maggie, too, but Evie's getting to the age that she really appreciates the festive holiday stuff. I love it!

Oh, great. Using "the grandchilluns would like it" to put more pressure on me to put up the lights, huh? LOL

Well, ya see, we're too lazy to do it here.

Ya for Maggie with the potty and the big girl bed!! Yay!!! Brooklynn isn't a fan of tummy time and doesn't care a whole lot about rolling over either.. But, she can stand up is learning how to take a step.. Now you have to give her your finger in her hands to balance but she's got the strength on her own! I think she's going to skip the crawling and take off by foot.. Maybe Olive will too! Ha, I'll laugh if they are both running circles around us at Christmas!! :)

The Bedlam game was intense! I almost didn't want to watch but really enjoyed it. That's all I have to say about that! ;)

You know, Evie's pillow/dream logic makes sense to me! Is she still having the night terrors? I wonder if the pillow story could help her to calm down after that at all? Maybe switch out the pillow after a bad dream or something.. ?!?

Watch out, Katie, or you'll end up with Brooklynn walking at nine months like both of my girls did. I'm just fine with Oliver staying put. But if Daddy has any say in the matter, he'll have Oliver walking early, too.
