Some friends from church invited us to their house last night to swim and hang out with a few other families from the church. We showed up late, and by the time we got there, their pool/hot tub was full of other kids playing. We were still in our regular clothes and had yet to change into our swimming attire. I sat down to feed Oliver and wasn't in any real hurry to get into the pool. I figured the girls would take some time to warm up to the situation, anyway, since it was a new place full of faces they don't know really well. I vaguely heard Evie and Maggie saying they wanted to swim, but I didn't pay much attention. I was getting Oliver set up to eat. John was talking to a couple of other guys there. He turned around to find Maggie with her shirt off and her shorts and panties around her ankles!! Nothing was going to stop her from getting into that water. Not even distracted parents and the presence of the pastor. :)
After all that, John got the girls set up in their bathing suits and arm floaties. The hot tub wasn't hot, and the little kids had a blast in there together. Luckily for everyone there, John and I didn't even have to get in the water with them. John's white-ness would have seared their eyes, and, well, you just wouldn't want to see me in a bathing suit. Trust me. Summer time has totally snuck up on me. Anyway, I was so proud of Evie and Maggie playing in the water. Evie is usually extremely cautious, especially around people she doesn't know well and around water. But both of them were soaked from head to toe by the time it was time to leave. They just.... played!

That sounds like a blast!! I hear you on the anti swimsuit!! My body now reminds me of that old song "The ol gray mare just aint what she used to be".... He he. I think that's why God intended for you to have children AFTER you're married so that your hubby is trapped by a til dead to us part! :)
Maggie didn't see the sign about no skinny dipping. hee hee.
